The fact that Lia Thomas competes in women’s swimming competitions at all reveals a social reality that already is too far adrift for the matter to be settled by common sense.
Common sense has been sacrificed too constantly and reliably on the way to getting to the point of this horrible reality.
It is painful in dozens of ways to watch and to be subject to this. Sadly though, the powerful athletes who compete as biological women in women’s sports during these particular years will not easily be afforded relief from this injustice. Nor will the rest of us, whose hearts are rent by the fact of this social disease. (By social disease, I do not refer to transgenderism, I refer to individuals in societies who affirm, even celebrate these myriad injustices against women.)
