Settlement Project President, Dr. Frank Kaufmann was recently featured in Elon University's report on artificial intelligence. Elon University's Imagining the Digital Future Center published a report, "Experts' Imagine the Impact of Artificial Intelligence by 2040" featuring a wide range of opinions by experts from diverse fields. The publication explores the potential impact of AI on society.

On February 13, 2024, Twelve Gates President, Dr. Frank Kaufmann offered his remarks at the inaugural session of the 11th International Conference on Peace and Nonviolent Action. The event gathered influential speakers and guests to discuss aspects of ahimsa (nonviolence), explore nonviolent strategies to prevent wars and violent conflicts, and create a world free of such violence and hatred.

Twelve Gates President, Dr. Frank Kaufmann will present during the inaugural session of the 11th International Conference on Peace and Nonviolent Action, on February 13, 2024. The event is organized by Anuvrat Global Organization in academic collaboration with the International Institute of Peace Studies and Global Philosophy.

The Settlement Project had a delegation at Turning Point USA's America Fest, or AmFest, in Phoenix, AZ form December 16 - 19, 2023. Regional reps from Los Angeles (Jack Ashworth), San Francisco (Michael and Kai Kellett), and Columbus, Ohio (Marquis Van De Mark) attended many of the stellar speeches, and conducted interviews with participants, youth, and with headliners.

Settlement Project president, Dr. Frank Kaufmann and Mr. Robert Presler of The America First Caucus will speak at the Patriot Bonfire on January 27, 2024. The Patriot Bonfire is a diverse gathering of like-minded Americans to discuss and share how we can work to protect our country and future. The event is organized by Chris and Debbie Cloud of American Life and Liberty ALL PAC.

During Christmas and the holiday season, Settlement Project regions in both Ohio, and the Mid-Atlantic hosted warm, family meetings where friends, staff and members could meet, enjoy each other's company, reflect on our efforts and successes in 2023, and look ahead to this hugely important year of 2024.

The Universal Peace Federation (UPF) hosted a seminar on Education for the 21st Century: Challenges, Moral Dangers, and Innovation from 10 am until noon, at the Bay Area Family Church, and later that evening The Alameda County Committee of Restoration (ACCOR) held a graduation ceremony for graduates of its 10-week course on the US Bill of Rights, in the home of Michael and Monika Kellett. Dr. Kaufmann offered the Keynote address in the morning seminar and graduation congratulatory remarks and speech content in the evening ceremony.

This particular gathering focuses on media, perhaps as in part responsible for our current shameful ugliness, as well as on ways media might contribute toward needed healing. My first premise is that our world is full of noble, courageous, journalists ready to give their lives to honor truth-telling for the sake of a better world. Although I admire honorable journalists and am grateful for the indispensable service they offer, I myself try to avoid them and have as little to do with them as possible.
